Anti-government Demonstrations Take Place in Baidoa City

Hiiraan Online
Monday, February 02, 2009

Mogadishu, Somalia (HOL) - Residents of the city of Baidao have demonstrated against the newly elected President of Somalia. The demonstrators were chanting anti-government slogans and after a long march gathered at Dr. Ayub soccer stadium.

At the gathering, some religious leaders, including Sheik Ibrahim Adam and Sheik Sharif Sheik Hussein spoke to the crowd telling them of their opposition to the newly formed government.

Sheik Ibrahim told the crowd that among the reasons they oppose the new formed government are the fact that it has been established based on the unfair formula of 4.5 and fact that it will be based on a constitution written by human beings.

Sheik Ibrahim added that the Somali people will not accept any constitution that is not based on the Islamic Sharia. This anti-government demonstration comes after several pro-government demonstrations have taken place in several cities of Somalia.

Shirib,

But he is not from Mudug? Why oppose him based on something that was always there?

Blame it all on Adan Madobe, that little political hooker literally sold the seat to Shariif. He was the interim President and should have refused the additional parliamentarian that Sharif came up with

Madobe embarrassed reer baydhabo, no wonder they are left with no choice but to support the crazy kids Al-shabab

The top leaders such as Abu Mansoor where not there, these are moryaans wearing religious garments who are financed by ethiopia.

Walahi we would kill these bastards and wipe them out if they try to destroy somalia's last chance.

Shrib why are you bringing this rubbish up, i mean a couple of moryaans should never make it on the news, there was only 20 of them who were demonstrating,
