qansa, I am sending 6,000 to her mom in Tanzania. I am grateful that she's helping me with the money , but I will take the credit. After that, I am not trying to throw a huge wedding, but we are planing to buy fancy furniture and make the two bed room look like little heaven.

That is not bad at all. Her mom can do a lot with that in Tanzania. Guri fiican in loo dhigo a newly wed couple is a must for somalis. It will probably cost more than the meher though. Personally kuraas iyo fadhi aad u weyn waa ka fogaan lahaa, it is tough moving them around later on if you ever decided to move.

Qansa, you are right, but you know I like convenience. If I decide to move, I will just simply rent two Mexicans from local Wallmart parking lot, and just give them 120, rent a Uhoul truck and they will take care of the rest
