We have procedures on everything that goes on in this world. Here is how an african nation is recognized. Exactly how ethiopia and Eretrea situation was handled.
0) One party have to state its interest in seeking for recognition
1) The two parts of the country that is beind devided need to come to some kind of agreement.
2) There would have to be some kind of vote or survey that would be carried out in the part that is seeking recognition.
3) An african Union committee reviews the outcome of the Polls or survey or election.
4) African Union recognizes it
5) United nations recognizes it
6) so is the rest of the world including britain and USA.
