Salaam
p.s. first time I heard him was in a audio tape, I thought he was African American

@ thought he was African American
I first came across his website when I was searching an Islamic ruling on something, I can't remember what it was.....then I started listening to his lectures. He's very good maasha'allah. I saw him at the Global Peace and Unity event a few years ago as well. He was not very happy and kept shouting at people who weren't really paying much attention

lool, I saw that in Islam channel, he wasn't too happy.
Lovely lecture sis, it is sad that us muslims we don't embrace the differences, but instead attack each other over it!
lol@ Our youth take a man who was shot 9 times as a hero
He is cool cause he is Azhari
lool@ don't be writing on blogs and forums that Imam Suhaib was bad or this and that! Waa ruun, these days all they do is divide each other, and I really hate that. I like to read what benefits me, I don't care about their madhab or if their Salafi etc, if it benefits me, my Islam, then there should be no problem. But you have people saying don't listen to this Sheikh because he once said this.
His Arabic is superb, even my sister was greatly impressed, mashallah.
Jazak-allah.
Salaam

He's quite funny isn't he?
Walaahi I was so amazed at his arabic maasha'allah, he studied in Egypt and sounds proper Egyptian like my sister. I wish I had continued to study arabic sometimes.
Horta do you speak arabic?

I find him to be funny, very ghettoified in his speech [when he wants to be].
I burst out laughing when he imitated the Egyptian man, he sounds exactely like them! 100% But he also speaks excellent fusha Arabic, which is impressive masha-allah.
I come from a family of Arabic speakers (okay not all of us, but 2 of my older sisters and brother), we grew up in Sharjah And we all spoke Arabic, upon coming to England most of us forgot it So, no I don't speak Arabic anymore. I'm looking to insha-allah learn it again, and another language too, maybe French or Spanish.
You speak Arabic though, don't you?
Salaam

Really? I thought you spoke arabic. Unfortunately I stopped attending arabic school before I turned 8 so I've pretty much forgotten to speak it but I can understand a little. My sister, dad, uncles and cousins all speak arabic though....they used to live in Egypt, Syria and Saudi.
I never really used to value arabic but the more I started to learn about Islam the more I'm starting to realise its importance. So insha'allah I'll start soon. I studied French but I'm still not fluent.
