Is it appropriate for a married man to be friends with a woman who is single?

To answer your question quite simply... No. There's just too much temptation...

after yo get married friends became history. yo spouse becames yo friend. both man and women lost thier friends soon they get married cuz they will not have time to spend with them specially when they had kids.

I agree with Kuush. If a man want to have friends, let it be male friends, if a woman want to have friends let it be female friends, that is just playing safe!

Dont you think that married couples need a life outside of the marriage. I do agree with you that they should become eachother 'best friends' so to speak...but I think they should also maintain some sort of individuality. If you're only friends with your husband, you have other outlet and you may start to resent him.
And just because your married doesnt mean your gonna start popping children right away...even tho somalis love to do that! lol

Surprised by all the no's

Depends though right? How close, how often do they speak...There are so many different types of friends. As long as she is not the call-late-at-night-and-play-PS3-with friend then why not? Appropriate boundaries
