This government is making a bad image for its self day by day :down: . Each day you hear of it doing unlawful actions. Just recently the government has shut down and aressed members of Radio Horyaal, which is a radio station known to support one the opposition parties. An Appeal for release of Radio Horyaal journalists has been made. Just yesterday the government has shut down a major cable company HORN CABLE located in hargisea the capital. This cable station is the biggest cable company in all of somaliland, which got raided by government police yesterday.
The attorney general, in turn, accused HCTV of having incited further bloodshed through its 11 July programming, which showed footage of that day’s violence between clan members.
“The arrests of Radio Horyaal’s director and news editor and the ban on Horn Cable TV are a blatant attempt by the Somaliland authorities to consolidate control of their public image in the weeks prior to the election,” said IPI Director David Dadg
