Amazing video of a whole ant-colony crossing what looks like a river flood to other side , with their queen in the middle keeping her dry and save.

Truly amazing. I love nature. That's TEAMWORK, right there. If only humans could work together that effectively.

Why can't that queen fly?

That's because water is cohesive. Water molecules are attracted to each other so they tend to bond and seek each other out if there is not an attraction to other molecules nearby. Have you ever seen after rain, rain drops of circular mass form on top of leaves or a paper clip on top of water? In this case water's cohesion made a surface tension for the ants to walk on.
