Ethiopia begins scheduled descent to Somalia status

Post by Tegaru »

..Except with AIDS.

Just on time:

Isn't it beautiful how this coincides with Meles election troubles?
..The Washington-DC based human rights group, International Christian Concern (ICC), http://www.persecution.org, has learned that in early October, a mob of three hundred Muslims murdered six Christians, and seriously wounded fifteen others during a midnight worship service in Beshasha, a town located in the Agaro province, 408 kilometers West of Addis Ababa.

On October 14, Orthodox Christians held a midnight worship service when a group of three hundred Muslims, carrying guns and knives approached the church. The mob could not enter the locked doors to the church but then proceeded to pour gasoline around the building, forcing the Christians to come out of the building.

The men of the church came out first and attempted to defend the men and women but had no real weapons, in comparison to the guns and knives used against them. The Muslim mob began to attack the Christians. Fifteen individuals from the church suffered sever knife wounds. Six people died as a result, two priests, two elderly women, and two men.

Two weeks later, the Ethiopian media announced that the police had arrested the leader of the massacre. However, the violence against Christians continues to steadily increase. It was only two weeks before the Beshasha massacre that another attack on Christians occurred in Jimma, Ethiopia because Muslims opposed Orthodox Christians celebrating the traditional Meskel holiday.

Muslims in the Horn of Africa are becoming increasingly radical and violent and are being urged to export that violence to surrounding countries.

This trend is almost certainly affecting Christians in Ethiopia. The Union of Islamic Courts in Somalis recently called for Jihad against Ethiopia, appealing to Muslims of the Horn to rise up against anyone who would dare come against the religion of Allah.

The tragic incident may only be a precursor of things to come as Muslims in Ethiopia, Kenya, and Tanzania are radicalized.
Surprising because generally ethnic violence is the precursor to religious violence, a la Somalia.

Regardless, this is the first good thing to come out of the Horn in decades.

Also, the regional power in the Horn is becoming increasingly hostile towards Christianity, Afewerki is renowned for his persecution of Christians in Eritrea.

See the pattern?

It is obvious propaganda. I'd edit it, but this site isn't worthy.

Regardless, the facts are all that matter. 6 Christians were executed. This has been confirmed.

If one takes this into account with currently ongoing situations and conflicts in Ethiopia, the future is particularly bleak.

I predicted this years ago.

Also relevant:
In the past Seventeen or so years, thousands of Oromos have been abducted, disappeared, detained, and many of them were tortured, in recent years on suspicion of having links with the OLF. The OLF has been fighting the Ethiopian government in eastern, Southern and western Oromia Region and other areas since 1973. HRLHA believes that all the detainees held on these grounds have been innocent people minding their own daily lives; and who have not been involved in or advocated violence.
TPLF are playing a dangerous game, but I've never been one to doubt Meles.

"Woyane do not know even how to use a gun fire." EDU 1978.

"These Woyane kids should be stopped from making noise to the revolutions going on in Eritrea and Ethiopia." ELF (a.k.a Jebha or Ama) 1979.

"There is no such Woyane revolution. This is a Joke. Ethiopian platform can not withstand more than one party" EPRP (E.H.A.Pa) 1980.

"Guerrilla means 'Zenjero', We shall destroy the Woyane Guerrilla fighters once and forever" DERG A.K.A. Mengistu 1990.

"Woyane should not be allowed to come out of his dry land camp" OLF 1991

"Woyane means 'Bado Gereweyna' with lots of noise; I must say it is time to teach them a lesson" EPLF A.K.A. PFDJ-DIA 1998

"Woyane can not survive more than two weeks. It is easy to remove Woyane with 10,000 - 15,000 people sacrifice and for that we have our tactic that we can not tell you now" Kinjit/CUD 2005

"We have declared Jihad on Woyane/Ethiopia to destroy the enemies of Allah and build the Islamic Republic of Greater Somalia"- 2006/2007- Islamic Courts Union

If Somalia didn't fail to live up to it's potential, we could have sat back, smiles on our faces, much like Isaias is doing and watched the Agame slaves become the kings, only to lead the country into disarray.

While Ethiopia was starving we were burning, while Ethiopia was dying of every affliction under the sun, we were burning. Insha'allah, one day, we will enjoy the sight of Ethiopian hardship while ourselves enjoying prosperity.

Amiin.

Contrast the Ethiopian mentality with that of the Eritrean:

The slave/inferiority complex - Ethiopia:

“We could have avoided that mistake if we had the money or had we had the support of our donors,” Meles said.

“The notion that because we didn’t finance power they have a problem, that’s bogus,” Kenichi Ohashi, the World Bank’s director for Ethiopia, said by phone today. “If we financed power that would come at the expense of something else.”

The self-reliant mentality - Eritrea:

"We would like integration more than anybody else ... Self-reliance is interpreted as an isolationist trend, which it is not at all ... Self-reliance is preparing yourself for partnership, equal partnership."

"This is the property of the people of this country ... If it goes otherwise, then it becomes a curse."

Eritreas self reliant mentality,
is seen as a threat by the west, and a bad example to all africans.

if you do not slavishly subscribe to IMF dictates and sell your country into debt slavery, then you are an evil, isolationist
and a threat.

this explains the hostility of the US to eritrea, when they are they treat saudi arabia like a lover.
and saudi arabia is nowhere close to democracy or human rights as eritrea.
