CAUSES AND CONSEQUENCES OF WAR!

What are the causes of war? Currently, there are wars all over the world, people are asking one question repeatedly, and the question is why do we fight? Different people have different views and opinions about why wars happen, some see it as an inevitable necessary thing, while others observe it as an evil act that should never be encouraged. If we come to the question, why do we fight or what causes wars? There is not one specific cause of war, Robert Hinde says in his book “Most wars are caused by a complex network of interacting events and circumstances” (Hinde125). Mainly the cause of war is a need for change against oppression, suppression or aggression. Things such as resources, land and religion or ethnic differences are a good recipe for war too.
Resources are one of the causes of war. Competition over oil, water, and land may cause disagreement that will turn into conflict. Another cause of wars is imperialistic ambitions. They wage war in order to expand or colonize other countries. Ethnic wars such as the Hutu vs.Tutsi are also popular around the world. The reason for this is “When members of different cultural groups find themselves in the same administrative area, difficulties are likely to arise” (Hinde72). Separatists that want to be independent from their own country always use gorilla wars. Secessionist countries such as Ireland, Kashmir and Chechnya are a few of the many.

Many countries sign traties. Each country has their own good. Americans see the goods of every country, and they want to trade. The trade goes well for a couple of decades, then there is an arguement. There is no good answer as to why we fight. I guess every country wants what is good for them. Laughing

War always has a feed back or a trickery, acceptation of something worth fighting for, like what you just said.

Clausewitz said once that "war is the continuation of politics by other means" -this remains to be the most controversial thing Clausewitz ever said --it seems that he is just making war as politics by other means --when infact people are dying every day. I disagree with him.

Well, war is part of politics. I also disagree with him.

Qurux that is right but u know Some cultures encourage non-violence methods while others use violence. I think they should immitate people like Gandhi and Dr. Martin Lutheran and denounce the actions of people like Hitler and Stalin.
If we take the time to understand other people’s cultures and beliefs, we could reduce wars by learning how to appreciate differences and be tolerant to others. Every soldier should know the value of human soul. especially American soldeirs-- They should take seminars of how to differentiate who is threat and who is not, and they should not keep prisons if they do not know how to treat them. Nevertheless, I am afraid wars will be here whether we like it or not, it is something that is part of life and human behavior. We cannot just eliminate war, unless you live in a la-la land. So the question is how can we avoid meaningless wars, and how can we minimize causalities of civilians and non-combats.

First, I understand what you're saying walaal. But the western countries are a bit too cocky. They use weapons to see who's stronger. They'll try to disarm you if they can. The only way we can avoid war is through the U.N. Event he U.N doesn't have that much power. The U.N was against war in Iraq but Bush went on without giving it a thought. That's why they're not helping to pay for any of the damages. He has to pay it for himself. We are in so much debt due to the war.

P.S, I'm not Quruxley, I'm Sexy-K Laughing

back to the war

Not all wars are bad, Think about it, if it was not for wars, America would not gain its independence from British, slavery would have been practiced today, and Hitler would have continued killing Jews. but justice has to be served when fighting wars. We should exercise restrain and patience instead of transgress beyond borders killing and destroying everything that moves like Israel. Citizens of every country should only support wars that are in the best interest of the community, not a war that makes the world a dangerous place. We should prosecute war criminals that commit genocide, torture and mass murder-this may apply to some American Generals--but since America refused to be a member of the Internation court -we can't prosecute them
The world needs better communication, sensitivity and tolerance toward others. we should not rush into war whther its Islam or the West, It should be our last resort. Therefore, as Pluto said it before “Only the dead have seen the end of war.”

Yes, I also believe that the world should be peaceful. But some countries have more weapons. Of course they'll be the stronger people and they'll force. But I do agrree, killling all those innocent people will not resolve the poverty in Africa and Asia. The war is indeed coming down to Muslims and non-Muslims as you can see. Did you watch Cnn the day of the bombing in London? The British government are saying that Jews are to blame, but the Americans are pushing the british to think that it was a terrorists attack. Imagin that Laughing

By the way, it's all good. We all get confused. We all love Quruxley maha Laughing

Just to clarify, Tutsis and Hutus didn't always war. Matter of fact, those people got along relatively (RELATIVELY) fine until "you-know-who" came upon the area and instigated a war behind MATERIAL GREED.

That is the main source of wars these days.
