Messi wil def win, with c.ronaldo coming in second.

I agree with Micheal Ballack, but rooney deserves to be short listed, He won the league with united for the 3rd consective season and got to the champs league final losing to Barca. Also he is Mr England and the main reason behind their performances, as well as finishing top scorer in their european campaign. Sir lug how much longer are you gonna hate on Englands best player? Looking at the list he acheived more than 90% of them.

I know u r a Rooney fan but that is not gonna take him anywhere. I don't hate English players per se.............I like John Terry, Gerrard, Lampard and I don't mind them being in the short list but the OGRE?!!!! comon man. Dude doesn't know football. He won the CL WITH MU, key word being "WITH" How many undeserving players won it because of their teammates?

Rooney is not the prettiest footballer on the eye, but he is an immense player. Only big gun out of him, lampard, gerrard etc to actually perform well in an england shirt. Trust Englands world cup hopes rely soley on him
