Somalia — The Islamic clerics of Ahlu Sunna Waljama'a have explained more on big explosions targeted to the centre of Galmudug administration in central Somalia, just as some of key clerics meeting there in north, officials told shabelle Radio on Tuesday.

Sheikh Omar Osman Afrah, a deputy chairman of Ahlu Sunna Waljama'a in central Somalia told shabelle Radio that the blasts were committed by people whom he accused of creating insecurity activities in Galka'o town in Mudug region recently.

The official said that the explosions were masterminded by the Islamist fighters of Hisbul Islam and Harakat Al-shabab Mujahideen calling for the people of the town to put pressure on tightening their security.

No group has claimed the responsibility of the blasts happened overnight in Galka'a town and it is also unclear the people who carried out them so far.

The Islamist forces of Ahlu Sunna clerics conducted search operations in parts of the Galka'o town particularly where the explosions happened early on Tuesday morning to capture those who committed the explosions in the centre of the town.

The blasts come as insecurity situations were increasing in parts of Galka'o town and whole areas under the control of the semi-autonomous region of Puntland in north of the country.
