The al Shabaab militia, a rebel group linked to al-Qaeda, quickly claimed responsibility for the attack. More attacks are to come, he warned. "We did not target the students —our target was the TFG, and each day and every hour we will keep fighting ... Our goal is to target the enemy of Allah. We will never give up pursuing the enemy of Allah.

Is there any solid proof that Al-Shabab is linked to al-Qaeda?

I could also make a video like that. It means nothing really. The fact of the matter is Al-Shabab have no links to al-Qaeda at all. It just another frontier Americans so called war on terrorism

No, it doesn’t. Funding and military support does. Don’t also believe western media about Somalia. They claimed there were 5000 Eritreans troops with the UIC

Dude, you are crazy if you doubt that shabaab is linked to alqaida. Inviting alqeada fighters to somalia, swearing allegiance to osama binladen and receiving training from nabhan(who is now a dead khariji) and abu mansur al amriki. If these are not hardcore evidence.

Personally, I believe Al-Shabab are just wannabe Islamist who have no backing or training from anyone. They claim al-Qaeda, just to get leverage in Somalia. I don’t support them at all BTW
