He is the man who founded Pakistan without firing a single bullet. Mohamed Ali Jinnah, otherwise known as Quaid-e-Azam (The Great Leader). He outmaneuvered Gandhi and Nehru and other Indian Congress leaders and won Pakistan through sheer diplomacy when the very idea of Pakistan was something to be laughed at :up:

I heard the name PAKISTAN is just an Acronym that stands for:
Punjab
Afghani
Kashmir
Indu
+ stan ==PAKISTAN.
Coined by Choudhary Rahmat Ali, as you know.

Yea. The philosopher Allama Iqbal was the first one to write about the importance of a Muslim Homeland in South Asia. Ch Rahmat Ali gave a name to this dream while studying at Cambridge and it was the secularist Jinnah who made it a reality. Today Jinnah is celebrated as the founder of Pakistan and Allama Iqbal as the idea behind its creation. Recently the former Indian Foreign Minister Jaswant Singh was kicked out of the VJP for writing a book that showed Jinnah in a very favorable light. Indian history books are noteworthy in their negative view of Jinnah (understandably)

Pakistan began on a pamphlet as PAKSTAN.

Punjab, Afghan, Kashmir, Sindh, Balochistan.

Those were the 5 Muslim northern provinces of former India. Later the acronym became Pakistan as a formal name.

Close.

In Urdu and Farsi, Pakistan also means literally "The Land of the Pure"

Ps,

Bengal was another state with Muslim majority population. It was part of Pakistan until 1971.

“We pay little heed to our native spiritual resources and our own intellectual heritage; instead, we think first of importing foreign principles and methods, or borrowing customs and laws from across the deserts and beyond the seas... we turn our eyes to Europe, America, or Russia, and we expect to import from there solutions to our problems.”

"Mankind today is on the brink of a precipice, not because of the danger of complete annihilation which is hanging over its head - this being just a symptom and not the real disease - but because humanity is devoid of those vital values which are necessary not only for its healthy development but also for its real progress. Even the Western world realizes that Western civilization is unable to present any healthy values for the guidance of mankind. It knows that it does not possess anything which will satisfy its own conscience and justify its existence...

It is essential for mankind to have a new leadership"

sayid qutb may allah be pleased with him.
