With every chance they get , they lid up more fire. These countries live off our blood with many Somalis
living among them, supporting their economy from different aspect. Why would they want to see, their immigrants return
home and built their dreams.

They would definitely put more effort destroy what's left than seeing peace in progress. We send millions of money back home to our
love ones and majority of them spend their income in these countries.

And is it true the only reason the international community doesn't recognise Somaliland is not because of favour they are doing for the whole of Somalia but because they don't want to do anything before African Union takes a step, and African union will not do it because of prsidence that will cause which is more boarder disputes.

Have you given any thought that al shabab was probably the work of America/ethiopia , they wouldn't come to
existence if they didn't over throw the islamic court.
It's obvious, even if al shabab brings some kind of order in the south, they won't let it happen. One man's chaos is another
man's enjoyment.

Instead of pointing figures, maybe it's time we come all togather as somalis not reer habel from this side of the country
but as one people. If al shabab is gone , there will be another group in the making to continue it's place. It's the truth

Islamic court divisions:

Ex moryaans who convert back to decency
regular people who had enough
formal religious people
and everyone else who wanted establishment of law and order .

and after they were attacked by The Ethi/Amer...
they ignited the extremist within the Islamic court now known as al shabab to make their own case
everything bad happening in Somalia has traces of these countries.

I didn't know the al shabab, after the ethiopia they all come out of the corners waiting to be let out

now who do we blame ? al shabab didn't existed 3yrs back...

Al-Shabaab has committed a strategic blunder when they carried out these operations in Kambala. It is doubtful whether the leaders of this group are rational thinkers. They can't evict at least 6,000 of AMISOM forces, how on earth can they handle the introduction of thousands and perhabs tens of thousands of additional troops? They control nearly all of Southern and Central Somalia and it is wierd how they did not take into account the wellbeing of these citizens of Somalia in the event that additional forces and countries will invade after those operations would be carried out.

Let us look at other home-grown Islamic movements and their activities:

Hezbollah: Israel invaded Southern Lebanon in 1982 and Hezbollah came out as a Shia Muslim resistant movement to the Israeli invasion. As a matter of policy, Hezbollah has never carried out any operation outside of the Lebanese territories with the exception of few incursions into Israel and those were very close to the border. Its leader Hassan Nasrullah has stated publicly that Hezbollah will never conduct any military operations outside of the Lebanese territories. He added that Hezbollah will fight Israel in Lebonon only and only when Israel introduces the conflict. They did it to maintain the local support and also to make sure they don't provide further ammunition to the Israeli's campaign that Hezbollah is a terrorist movement. This policy has benefited Hezbollah greatly and they were able to evict Israeli troops from Southern Lebanon in the middle of the 1990s.

Hamas: this Islamic resistance movement in the Palestinian territory has never conducted operations outside of the Palestinian territories and as a matter of policy also rejects any operations outside of the Palestinian territories. Even tough Hamas is a Sunni Muslim organization, it has denounced and rejected any cooperation with the so-called Al-Qaeda (some calls it AL-CIADA).

Taliban: even tough they welcomed and housed Al-QAEDA at the beginning, they have never pledged allegiances to this bogeyman called Al-QAEDA and according to media reports many of its leaders today regret their initial housing of Al-QAEDA. Even the latest western media reports show Mullah Omar clearly stating that Taliban's agenda is local and has no international reach. He has even gone in great length in assuring the countries in the region mainly Iran and China that Taliban is not threat to their regional security and he is open to be discussing with them at the appropriate time. If other Islamic movements are distancing themselves from this bogeyman called AL-QAEDA and confining their operations locally, one has to question what are the benefits that Al-Shabaab is gaining by associating itself with this bogeyman and carrying out these operations in Kampala? One should also know Uganda is not Spain where the March 11, 2004 attacks influenced the Spanish election and overthrew the government that was in power and brought more anti-war government to power. Uganda is run by a dictatorship that is only answerable to the west and has his loyalties with western elites. This is a country that sent its troops to Congo at the behest of western corporations and actually brought more misery to the people of Congo (former Zaire).
