Troops from Guinea — a battalion in all — are expected to join a separate force from Djibouti, making for the mission’s first deployments from predominantly Muslim countries. Jean Ping, chairman of the African Union Commission, called the new troops a “major boost” for the peacekeeping force in Somalia, and said it could push the number of soldiers on the ground to close to 10,000.

That means the rules of engagement have been changed and neighbouring countries are able to engage in the AU mission in koonfur.

I think they will gradually increase the number to the stated 20,000.

I wanted peace for Al-kebab but if they need to die it was their choice.

What can 20,000 FUFUs do that 70,000 battle-heartened Ethiopians could not have done?

According to Somali reports today, the Somali Mujahidiin today are more lethal than the UIC and Muqaawama in 2007-2008. As it is obvious their command and control structure, their battle field engagments, their intelligence, their arms have improved so much that they are taking the fight to the AMISOM troops.

Nearly all of the Somali factions that were opposed to Somali Mujahidiin have crumbled and now the battle is between Somali Mujahidiin and AMISOM. I think the reason for the urgent meeting in Uganda is because the fight is between the sponsored army that was sent to destroy Northern Mogadishu since Ethiopians destroyed Southern Mogadishu and Somali Mujahidiin.

Each time the war in Somalia is not meeting the objectives that was set for it, you will see a sudden rush on the side of those who are behind Somalia's endless saga. New thing has been added to the equation and that is the break up of the country. I remember what certain Western officials used to say about Iraq when the biggest fight was taking place in the Sunni triangle in Iraq. They used to advocate the division of Iraq into three parts: North (Kurdish), Center (Sunni), and South (Shia). This is a new game in Somalia. There is a massive campaign in certain Jahuud led news corporations to convince the world public about the division of Somalia and you would see the Jahuud agents in SNET already talking about the division of the country.

The simplest answer to all of Somalia's problems is leave Somalia to its people. Foreign dictation is what is driving the Somali resistance and many fringe groups are taking advantage of this interference. If the foreign dictation and interference would have stopped long time ago, there would never been an AL-QAEDA (AL-CIADA) in Somalia.
