He may be better known for beefing with the Jigga man, but Nas finally turned his attention toward fellow Queens rapper 50 Cent. At a concert in Cali last weekend, Kelis’ hubby finally responded to 50’s ‘Piggy Bank’ diss track in which Cent slagged off Nas, Jadakiss, Ja Rule, Shyne and Fat Joe. While performing the infamous ‘Ether’, Nas asked DJ L.E.S to take out Jay Z’s name, saying “Don’t say his name, we love him.” The crowd instead filled in the gaps by shouting 50’s name in place of Jigga’s before Nas dropped the first few bars of ‘MC Burial,’ his latest single. “ They say Jada defeated him/ Joe too street for him/ What’s next, I guess it’s for Nas to Ether him.” Nas closed the show with confirmation he does have an ‘Ether: Part 2’ style song aimed at an unnamed rapper coming in a few months.
