The great poet Abshir Bacadle died today in Muqdisho. Abshir has many times warned Somalis the evils of clan and qabiil. Here is a wonderful piece he is talking about the evils of Qabyaalad:

Indeed Somalia lost a great man

For those claiming Marxuum Abshir was a USC, not really. He was one of the people who saved so many Daaroods from the USC gangs. He was a great man with strong convictions. Ilaaheey naxariistii haka waraabiyo.

Few weeks ago, he was talking about the evils of Alshabaab and how their war has nothing to do with religion. He was always on the right side of the struggle.
