Guumays is a DHulbahante town. It is settled by JS, Yaxye, and Reer Cilmi.

In Sanaag, Ceerigaabo is a shared town. Ceel-Afweyn is a HJ district. Badhan and Dhahar are and were also districts in Sanaag and are exclusive Warsangeli towns. You still have Xingalool, Hadaaftimo, Laasqoray and Ceelaayo which are major Warsangeli towns. You also have Fiqifuliye, Jiidali, Kulaal and Awrboogays towns which are major Dhulbanahante settlements. So it is a shared region where Dhulbahante, Warsangeli, HJ, HY have settlements but Warsangeli is the largest clan in Sanaag.

Guumays became a Habr Jeclo town?


Last time I knew, Guumays belonged to the Jamac Siyaad subclan of the Maxamud Garad.

I was doing this research based on Sanaag, it read something like this;

Sanaag 2/3 = Daarood

1/3 = Habr Jeclo/Habr Yonis.


90% of the towns in Sanaag is settled by either Warsanegli or Dhulbahante.
