Post by samadoon-waaxid »

An estimated 4 million women over the age of 20 are unmarried in the country of 24.6 million  . After 20, women are rapidly seen in Saudi society as getting too old to marry, said Sohila Zein el-Abdydeen, a prominent female member of the governmental National Society for Human Rights.

you have obvioulsy not been to saudia have you...
hajj and ummra doesnt count..
you need to spend just a week in riyadh and talk to people...
most of them are not even ashamed, and will tell yoou staright up...

there is a good chance you will be propositioned sexually by the same sex as well, depending on your looks, manerisms..

dont take my word for it..

i do not need to argue with you..
if you are serious, just find a friend or family member that lives or lived in saudia and then ask them this...

thats all i have to say.....

sister,as much as I hate admiting it and as as much as I know the salafi hating squad will jump on this opportunity and ride it like a horse until it dies, but truth gotta be told"inni laa akhaafu fillahi lawmata la'aim"dont believe non of the "waa lagu gawracayaa" stuff, only if u r ajanabi that will happen to u,but gay citizens roam the street openly and nothing happens to them, heck alot of the royal family are open about their homosexuality(the last one was this gay prince who killed his black servant in london,it was all over the news).
my 45% and 25% figures comes from a saudi survey figures I seen on talk show while ago(i'm too lazy to dig for the video).as far as comparing KSA to the west,it is infultile, me thinks.never compare apples and oranges.
as for the marriage age,i agree with you.its the norm among muslims in the west now a days to marry in their late 20's to early 30's(we all fall in that catagory),but again i cant compare that to saudi arabia .the supply and demand rules for their marriage market is regulated by their very own cultural norms,if 20 years old female is old(like the article suggest) then it is old.

but again the main topic here is the ackward practice of refusing females marriage to used them as maid for their male siblings. what do you think of it.

lets discuss..........

Not only are they present but they are very well prominent. People need to understand that this is not America or Europe where if you get horny if worst comes to worst you can go to a prostitute or even have a girlfriend who can relieve you. In Saudi, men and women are segregated, theo only women that Saudi men will ever see are their near relatives i.e sisters, mothers etc. The practice of sodomy is widespread in schools where the weak of the bunch are subject to the stronger. It is a contract between two parties, the faacil and the mafcuul. The faacil (doer) protects the mafcuul (subject) from other bullies in return for sexual favours.
