Somali President receives Yemeni ambassador in Mogadishu

MOGADISHU, Dec. 05 (Saba)- Somali President Sharif Sheikh Ahmed received on Sunday Yemeni ambassador to Somalia Ahmed Omer.
During the meeting, the Yemeni envoy conveyed the greetings of Ali Abdullah Saleh to his Somali counterpart.
The Somali President asked the Yemeni envoy to convey his greetings to President Saleh, congratulating the leadership and the government of Yemen on the successful preparation for the 20th Gulf Cup.
President Sharif expressed the Somali government's appreciation for the great efforts made by President Saleh to realize the security and stability to Somalia and his continued support to the Somali people and government, wishing the mutual relationship between the two countries further progress and prosperity.
The talks dealt with ways of enhancing relations between the two countries and the latest development on the Somali arenas.
