Somalia: Puntland:'Our Marine Forces Not Risk to Somaliland

Post by Coeus »

Bosaso — The officials of the semi-autonomous region of Puntland said on Wednesday that the marine forces of Puntland were not risk to the security of the breakaway republic of Somaliland, just a day after the information ministry of region accused the troops were dangerous to Somaliland.

Ing. Mohamed Farah Aden, the fishing and resource minister of Puntland administration disproved a statement from Somaliland saying that that reports indicating the marine forces training in Puntland were dangerous to the security of the region.
"Puntland does not aim at creating insecurity to the Somaliland. Marine forces training here in Puntland are not dangerous. We heard reports that the ant-pirate forces would be hazardous to the coasts of the Somaliland, but we can simply confirm that those reports are baseless propaganda," said the fishing minister of Puntland administration.

The US government had express concern over the 1,050 men trained for protecting the pirates and said that it would need to know more about the funding company while the UN program for the ant-pirates greatly welcomed the step.

The minister said that the forces would fight against the pirates in Puntland coasts pointing out that they will not be out of the their harbors adding that they had signed agreement with a company for the security based in south Africa.

Lastly the fishing minister of Somaliland had requested form the United States of America to support the project training the ant-piracy forces in Puntland.

The secessionist morons are scared as hell, don’t worry. Puntland only laid claim to SSC region and not to their barren resourceless land.
