Ceasefire agreement takes place in Galka’o

Ceasefire agreement has been reached from fighting between two clans in Mudug region after a large meeting occurred in Galka’o city, T.F.G minister said.
A committee that Prime Minister Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo appointed to mediate and put in peace to both of two clans who fought with water wells in Mudug region have achieved to persuade warring tribes to accept ceasefire agreement and brought together, minister of Home affairs and national security of the T.F.G, A/shakur Sheikh Hassan Farah said.
The meeting was attended by T.F.G committee, Galmudug state, Puntland and elders of two sides together have signed ceasefire agreement and initial agreement and were requested to drink the wells together since there is severe drought hit to those areas.
In hot seasons like this, nomadic people fight with grazing land and water wells after some of the tribes try to refuse the other clan to have livestock use shared things of water and grass equally and finally bring bloodshed between them.
The transitional federal government has sent committee consisting of mps and the cabinet ministers to the warring areas in order to solve the problems over there last month.
