Alla Soomaalidu fool xumo badnaa.

I am talking about the state of the country from the peaceful areas to lawless Mogadishu. Truly a pre-medieval foolxumo from a nation that used to be this dignified.

Everytime I see a youtube of Somalia now, I don't see beautiful, dignified, happy people anywhere. All I see is yeey indho guduudan. The look of abject brutalization.

Even worst than Haiti.

I think whining and not doing anything about it is even more uglier. We need to stop saying "they" as in "they should get their sh!t together" and do something that will directly change the life of our people whether it is sacrificing our own life in liberating the nation or contributing to a positive cause in a non combat way. The biggest problem we have is coming up with a solution or formula to stop the division or those that easily fall for the divide and conquer tactics. Yesterday a thread was posted about ethiopians rejoicing over the misery in our country and the first reply was a qabyaalad based one followed by chaos. That was more embarrassing to me than anything as it showed the idiots amongst us and how true our enemies know us.

Those photos are very beautiful and I see a country that has managed to live on for 20 years without a central government. That itself is a miraclous achievement and we should insha'Allah improve upon it.

In my opinion, as much as I may sound controversial, the civil war had some positive impact on the nation. Somalia was one city country back then and something major had to be done to force people to spread around and use th whole land equally. Some thing dramatic had to happen in order to make people give up their little lives in crowded Mogadishu. It took a lot of deaths and forceful evictions but every corner of the country is now populated. The whole nation was neglected. Even Siad Barre could not find running water and toilets with seats when he was exiled to his hometown. Go to Garnaharey today and see the difference.

I see USC revolution as one the best things that happened to Somalia. The end product is a country which is developing equally from Red Sea to Kenyan border. General Aidid will go to history as the guy who changed Somalia's landscape in a short time. The mass emigration and Somali settlements in far away countries is also good for the nation.

About those 60 year Italian buildings, well better and more moderate infrastructure can be built anytime.
