What American English sounds like to non-English speakers

Post by Advo »

a parody by Adriano Celentano for the Italian TV programme Mileluci is sung entirely in gibberish designed to sound like American English.

I thought it was well done

Language is an amazing acquisition and phonetics plays a key role in it all. Our brain is the most remarkable gift Allah could've bestowed us with.

I'm always reminded by this whenever I come across these things, good stuff.

Warsan :rose:

I know I was amazed at how the nonsense sounded so much like English, Im gonna do the Somali version of it.

I know a cadaan racist once said their language sounded like "habra, habra, habra" etc.

Honestly, when I was like 14-15 around that age, I used to listen to Shimaali Ahmed Shimaali, and he sings in maay sometimes and other times in somali, so I used to think it was Somali throughout  I always used to wonder why I would understand the somali more!

Advo,

I was told Somali sounded like Arabic or something close to the that. lol
