simple geometry! Look at his posture, head angle, body weight/legs balance, distance from the map, etc, etc. He is clearly looking @ central somalia. To back up that technical point of view, central somalia is very active these days with number of tribes fighting, shababs whipping some old folks in ceelbuur, his ahlusuna friends threatening to wage a new war, new pseudo Hiran administration, Galmudug, Galkacyo, Ethiopia crossing the border, etc. All that plus his homeland caabdudwaaq.

My theory rules out escape route. The only proven escape route is going south west. All notable abdibile moments from Siad Barre to Sheik Sharif were through Afgoe, Kismayo.
