Somalia: Fierce Mogadishu Overnight Fighting Leaves Three De

At least 3 persons have been slain and 5 others injured in an overnight Mogadishu fierce fighting that was between Somali government forces supported militarily by African Union forces and Al shabaab fighters.
The fighting is said to have erupted after Al shabaab fighters launched hit and run attacks on military positions of AMISOM forces and Somali troops in notherbn parts of seaside war-devastated Mogadishu.
Heavy gun battle and excessive artillery shelling, which the two warring sides have been exchanging, rocked some of Benadir region districts. Locals said because of heavy artillery and machine gunfire, the sky of Mogadishu turned into red.
Local residents confirmed Shabelle Media Network that some the exchanged bombardments hit far away battle-zones.
No immediate statements were available from the warring sides as the casualties inflicted on each other were not, so far, verified.
