Blood and Organ donation and Islam

Right .... So im on the organ donation register.. I signed up ages ago cos i thought , why not help people who are dying? It's not like they are going to be of any use to u then

Anywho, my friend turns around and says ' you are crazy. It's haram'
I'm like 'say what? No it isn't '

"Whosoever saves the life of one person it would be as if he saved the life of all mankind."
Holy Qur'an, chapter 5 vs. 32 . That was on the NHS site

I also tried to give blood but my iron levels are too low.. Tried numerous times... Need to get them up

So yeah get yourself on the Organ Donation register ... Its not haram ... If u think it is, bring forth proof
