I'm close but I'm not there yet .... The day I give up on him, is the day I give up on life and I don't wanna give up on life.... It's been too long and I've gone through too much to just f-king give up so I'm staying another day....It's a hopeless situation but what can I do? If it was my choice, I'd have no emotions and I'd not feel anything. Whenever I try to think that I can go on without him, I soon realise I'm kidding myself . I wish I could hate him and just move on with my f-king pathetic life, but I can't . I could never hate him. I don't care what you think about me so keep it to yourself. In fact, I don't care what anyone thinks .

Late-night teens 'face greater depression risk'

Study leader Dr James Gangwisch said although it was possible that youngsters with depression struggle to sleep, the fact that parental set bedtimes were linked with depression suggests that a lack of sleep is somehow underpinning the development of the condition.

He said a lack of sleep could affect emotional brain responses and lead to moodiness that hindered the ability to cope with daily stresses.

This moodiness could affect judgment, concentration and impulse control.

Teens with a bedtime of 10:00 PM or earlier were 25% less likely to be depressed and 20% less likely to have suicidal thoughts, compared with teens who went to bed at midnight or later.

"This study bolsters the argument that a lack of sleep can cause depression," said Gangwisch. "Teens with earlier parental-mandated bedtimes were less likely to suffer from depression and suicidal thoughts." It should be noted, however, that the relationship may also work in the other direction. Teens who are depressed may also have difficulty getting to sleep.

Clearly getting enough sleep is an important factor in teen mental health, no matter which direction the association works. Parents would be wise to pay attention to their child's sleep patterns and look for signs of depression if their child routinely has difficulty sleeping.
