I need to know few things, first thing the names of markets and hospitals.
Second thing what are the names of districts.(I know Alanlay,Farjano, Faanoole and Shaqaalaa)
Where does the name "Ashraf" originate? and what's name of Ashraf subclan?.
Do Ashraf clan live in one specific area of somalia or they spread throughout?

I heard a lot of people ask about Kismaayo many times, and since I was born in Kismaayo, let me clearly out once for all, all things about kismaayo.

-Kismaayo is the third largest city of Somalia after Mogadishu and Hargiesa
-Kismaayo Population are estimated to be about 200,000.
-Kismaayo is 500 km away from Mogadishu, and 200 km from Dhoobleey or Kenyan border.
-Kismaayo consists of (Farjanno(siinaay, isku filan village), Fanoole, Calanleey, Via-Afmadow, Shaqaalaha/Guulwade, Mariina)
-Kismaayo was ruled by Omani Sultanate, the Ottamans, the British, the Italian, Ajuuraan Sultanate, Geledi Sultanate, Somali government, SPM, JVA, Islamic Courts, and now Al-shabaab.
-Misaajidaha kismaayo waxaa ka mid ah -Misaajidka Xaaji jaamac, Masjidka Cali Mukuli., Masjidu-Nuur
-unlike other Somali cities, Kismaayo has Islands, known as Bajuun Islands that are 40-100km of Kismaayo mainland. some of these are (Koyama, chovae,Naguma, Julaa, Kudaay, Istanbul)

-Meat factory opened in Kismaayo in 1973.
-Kismaayo is most diverse city(in terms of tribes) in Somalia after Mogadishu
-Kismaayo is famous for two things, Soccer sports and Xalwo kismaayo (xalwo with lowz and subag)
-Kismaayo is the only Somali city that combines an Ocean, river, farm-land, sea-port, airport.

-Kismaayo Hospital is called Kismaayo General Hospital

well kinda glad you spoke somali. Thought you were one of them Swahili isku dhiibo Somali, barawani, Ashraf. Theres loads of them where I live in UK. Anyway xaafada Cascaseey is also a xaafad in Kista.

There different kinds of Asharaf and usually you can find them wherever you can find Ogaden (Jubboyinka, NFD, and Ogadenia). There are also the Raxanwein Asharaf who live in Bay and Bakool region as well as Lower and Middle Shabelle. Unfortunately I don't know the subclans although we quite a large community (mostly from Baydhabo) here in my town.

Asharaaf are said to be descendants of Ahlul Beyt such as Ali and Fadumo.

There are said to be divided to Bacalaawi, Ahdal, and Sarmaan.
Some people also consider some tribes of Barwaani, Reerow Xassan or Sheekhaal tribes to be Asharaaf or Ahlul-Beyt.

The Ashraf are generally classified into various subgroups through Fatima's two sons (Denmark 2000, 41) as follows:

Hussein:

•Reersharif Magbul (or Reesharif Magbull )
•Sharif Ahmed
•Sharif Balaaw (or Sharif Baalawi )
Hassan:

•Mohamed Sharif (or Mohammed Sharif )
•Sharif Ali
•Sharif Ahmed
•Ashraf Sarman

Asharaaf Maqbuul are the one who live in around Kismaayo
