I think they were planning to retake Xamar no matter what using the 8000 Fufus and the couple thousand child soldier cannon fodder. Shishkabab are overstretched and it looks like they conceeded Gedo for now. Even though B Xaawo is destroyed alxamdurilah so far fighting has been spared in Luuq, Ceelwaaq, Buurdhoobo, Garbaharey. Shishkabab will I think defend Xamar, Kismaayo, Baydhabo to death. Assuming the TFG is able to hold onto these towns in Gedo which is very doubtful, Shishkabab will probaly put up a strong defense in Baardheere too as its the gateway to Kismaayo.

I care less about Xamar cos people of Xamar do not want peace.

But as for the case of the other regions then the case is abit more complex as the war will be very bloody and the Ethiopians are not going to escort them all the way to kismaayu the furthest would be Bardhere but we have never seen the militias ever defeating shabaab so they will run rather than fight like men.

I mean Shabaab are determined to fight cos of two reasons their Ideology and they have no where to go or escape its like being pinned on the wall.

So effects will be an exodus of refugees running to safety in Kenya where the kenyan forces will treat them like escaping shabaab militia.
