"Conclusion of Treaties of Protection that Britain had entered into with elders representing various Somali tribes or clans during 1884-86 were the basis of the north’s colonial history for the following seventy-six years. A lone, but important, non-signatory of those treaties of protection was the Dolbahante. The subsequent de facto association of this group and their homeland within the British Somaliland Protectorate administration was only by default and mutual expediency, but never a de jure. However, since the essence of the north’s independence in 1960 was only perceived as a transitory process to the reunification with the south, it was non-controversial. If otherwise, however, the then new State of Somaliland could not have inherited the Dolbahante homeland without the latter’s consent, and would not even now, had that issue not already been resolved by the reunification process. Because that independence would only be for the signatories of those treaties of protection, but the Dolbahabte that was not a party to those treat could only join it by own consent."
Faithfully,

Question should have been:
'Why dhulbahante can't be part of anything'.
'Why dhulbahante can't be part of anything'.

It is well known Dhulbahante is part of United Somalia. Dhulbahante the defenders and the protectors of the Unity of Somalia.Cali_Gaab wrote:Question should have been:

Question should be why Isaaq is obsessed with Dhulbahante? Isaaq should try to live without Dhulbahante and SSC region !!!!

What Somalia?
Some of these people right here have gone in the span of 5 years from supporting the ICU , to Cabdulaahi Yuusuf , then their family member wether he was in Puntland or Somaliland then al shabaab , then this newly created thing called SSC
It is always the most dysfunctional and disoriented dhulbahantes that claim to speak for their clan

With the exception of Somaliland, those are all entities within Somalia. Although technically Somaliland is part of Somalia, but to show respect for the desires and the self-determination of your clan, I make that exception.
Now the only thing dysfunctional is your mental capacity and attitude. Dhulbahante is a clan from Somalia, whether you like it or not. That's a fact. Different people might have different political views, some might support Al-Shabab and others TFG, but at the end of the day we are all from the same country.

That's exactly what I am saying , different dhulbahantes have different political views , and not all dhulbahante either share your particular opinion or live in Somalia .Dhulbahante is a clan from Somalia, whether you like it or not. That's a fact. Different people might have different political views, some might support Al-Shabab and others TFG, but at the end of the day we are all from the same country.
stupid ! Stop repeating what I have just told you without comprehending the meaning of my post , when regular people do not understand something said by someone they ASK for a clarification , they just do not disagree , offering the same words you've just said as a rebuttal .

Executive if all your clan came forward as one and with a single headperson/chief/garad/ that you all agreed on said we dont want SL. The discussion would be finished but if every week one leaves SL and two join it swearing oath of allegiance, makes us question who we should take serious. Your tribe is like a headless chicken with no leadership, so out of brotherhood we have super imposed our leaders on your headless chicken so your able to see through the eyes of an elected official.
I know it sounds harsh but one day one your tribe matures and has the ability to put forward people with genuine independent minds(successionist)then we will be glad to hand over responsibility of you to them, till then we dont think its fair for Dhulbahntes to be led by people who's political ideals can change direction depending on how much money is put infront or side or behind them and disregarding the responsibility they have to there constituency.

I don't think you understand politics or you know much about Dhulbahante for that matter. But tell me this,What about the Isaaq Ministers and Member of Parliament in TFG. What about those who believe in Somalia like?
Are you trying to argue that likes of Kayse and Xaabsade makes it alright to assume that Dhulbahante are Somaliland? Kayse: Somaliland MP to Puntland Governor, To SSC member back to Somaliland. Xaabsade: SL Speak of Parliament, Puntland Minister, and now a Somaliland Minister. These are individual who represent themselves, just like you say the Isaaqs in TFG do not represent you, the Dhulbahantes in Somaliland do not represent us.
There is not a single Dhulbahante Clan leader that supports Somaliland. We have our traditional elders and leaders, whom you ignore for the simple reason cause they are against Somaliland. Which every way you look at things we are not part of Somaliland, and never been part of Somaliland.

Re: Jama Ghalib: Why Dhulbahante can not be part of Somalila
The Isaaq members of parliament in the TFG are just individuals who have not brought anything but their sorry ass to Xamar .
Fact to the matter is Xaabsade has brought Las Canood to Somaliland , it is undeniable !
Before him , we had dhulbahantes in our administration the likes of fagadhe , fuad aadan cadde etc..ect.. but they were only representatives of the dhulbahante who recognised themselves as being part of in Somaliland as quite a number of dhulbahantes live in Hargeysa , Burco , Berbera etc..ect.
When Xaabsade joined Somaliland he brought a piece of territory with him .We didn't invade Las Canood , we didn't kill anybody in the process of gaining control of that city, Xaabsade and those who were loyal to him JOINED US .
There is NO PARALLEL here between the 2 .
Furthermore to even render the situation more troublesome , the SSC dhulbahantes have vowed to kill him if they'd get their hands on him . We didn't execute Buuba who was a TFG minister when he came back to Hargeysa .
Fact to the matter is you guys are fukced up and just cannot admit it . Your "political stand " is ever changing and nobody but yourselves can keep track of the various positions you once had "in the name of dhulbahante".

You are beyond retarded, As a said, We are from Somalia
Easy with the lies first of all, You are talking about a military operation that had the city population displaced and people killed, what Xaabsade and Somaliland did in Las Anod was wrong and disgusting. That goes to show the level of Dhulbahante support you have right? Xaabsade and his guards
Xaabsade represents Dhullos as much as a TFG minister represents Reer Hargeisa.
