They're way ahead of themselves, North Muqdisho, and South Muqdisho haven't been able to unite since 1991.

Re: North Somalia and South Somalia: Unable to Unite since 1
Ignorance will continue to push the two states further apart, not only will they never unite they will become bitter enemies used as proxies in future conflicts.
When there is lack of interest in understand the cause of the initial failed union what hope can be expected from the elusion of a former union that somany still hold onto. By promoting the former union to those abused in the name of that former union it add insult to injury.
To proclaim the union was perfect is criminal and a crime for which non have been held accountable to this day leaves bitter scars. Since 1991 the associated emotions of the generation that was harmed have been transmitted to their next two generations. Over 60% of the population in the north are under 20 or were too young to remember the former union. They may have sympathy for a people they share a name with however they are disfranchised from any feelings of a shared nation with them. They detest association with Extremist killers who bombed innocent civilians on their land in 2008, they detest association with piracy and the ever increasing food prices and the cost of living which is a contributory factor. They have witnessed 15 foreign manufactured governments all claiming to have authority over their nation, when they have never controlled any land what so ever, the current TFG is a refuge government living under Amisom asylum in Somalia. Since the Amisom soldier does not require asylum and is in the land by his own choice and defending his own life that amisom soldier is a free man. This Refugee Government in 4km sq reservation camp has the impudent audacity to claim to represent them.
What chance is there if this ignorance continues of another union?
The equivalent generation of southern citizens have grownup under a country that has had continues war since 1991, with flags changing every few months and 15 failed imported governments. Now the average 20yr old citizen of somalia has a single mission in life how do i reach the USA, they have never had the opportunity to engage with a political system or witnessed any form of role models in southern politics. Southern youth don't have a voice, be it under shabab, TFG or Pirates. They will join whoever is willing to provide their basic needs and offer some form of guidance and purpose. They have no time to worry about Northern issues and may not even care to be aware of the intention of the northerners. They never knew the union and they do not care about it.
