What about all the countries that have multiple ethnicities living within their borders? Does that mean that none of them have a country? Or the ones who got the country named after them are the owners of the country e.g. Malaysia? Not very many countries are like Malaysia are they though, ignoring the middle east (despite their tribalism), India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Nepal etc and all the African countries (except Somali if you can call us one tribe) are full of very many different tribes that just come under one geographic banner that has been named usually by an outside conqueror.

By the way, in this question, how would you define ethnicity? For example in Europe, is being a white Brit an ethnicity? Or are they divided into Anglos, Saxons, Normans etc...

There's no such ethnicity called Assyrian. They're just Arab Iraqi Christians just like those Lebs who call themselves Phoenician. Assyria was the name of a civilization, a state, not an ethnic group. There is no such thing as even an Assyrian language, its just a dialect within another older dead language.
