You take qabil to a whole new level. A supposedly valid question would be "how the hell do you know that they are southerners, in the first place". But since you cant teach an old dog to do new tricks. Im going to leave it at that.

we go to somaliland independence day celebrations because we don't consider somaliland to be an independent country.

therefore, their celebration of achieving peace and committing themselves to the rule of law is a celebration for all of those who love peace and the people of Somalia regardless where they live.

i love Somalis wherever they are and any celebration to honor the achievement of such people, institutions and regional/local governments is my celebration, too.

Do they allow other somalis to come to begin with? Just out of curiousity. I thought it was hermetic celebrations, closed to outsiders. If other somalis are being invited, waaba fiican tahay runtii, going there would be ideal, if to eat xalwada, or bariiska. PS: Do they serve food at the party anyway? I am just guessing they do

They never held one in my city. There are no Isaaqs here....almost. There is one habarjeclo family here in the entire city and they are reer Xamar.
