Although i know much about Somalia´s different fighting fractions, what makes Ahlu sunna different from Al shabab?
And more importantly why do they fight against Al shabab?

If Habar Gedir and Mareehaan could get a long, we would probably never of had a civil war.
That being said, f*ck Ahlul Sunnah, nothing more than a Ethiopian creation

Nothing. They both have made a mockery of the Religion and are in the business of killing Muslims. They both make takfiir on each other, and think they will go to heaven by killing the other. If I ruled Somalia I'd just disarm both of them. The only way Ahlu Sunnah is better is that they seem more open to working with a Government (Not necessairly the TFG) whereas the other group wants to rule everything or die trying. They're both scumbags in my opinion.

shabab is run like a fortune 500 company. Call it Walmart
ahlusuna is like a corner store owned by feuding siblings by way of inheritance - Hu Chun variety store
shabab = well organized multinational army
ahlusuna = ragtag tribal militia

Ahlu Sunnah___will except every foriegn power that invades Somalia even if its hostile to Islam, as long as they are left to eat their cambuula and bun
Shabaab___will die to the last man to resist any foriegn or non-muslim invasion
Ahlu sunnah ___ don't have a mission or goal, they just reactionaries
Shabaab's ______goal is to take over Somalia and rule Somalia with Sharia_law
