The illusion of freedom and pseudo patriotism in Somaliland

Although freedom and equality before the law is two basic tenets of all progressive nations, Somaliland case is questionable. There is no freedom for anyone in Somaliland to question the viability of Somaliland and the need for staying with the rest of Somalia. There are well-known cases where individuals were imprisoned and intimidated by their belief of greater Somalia. As far as I know no Somaliland newspaper can publish any opposing article to the cause of Somaliland. What happened in Galalshe and how the media covered is mere example of the psyche of Somaliland. The disproportion force used against country fellow kin men showed how ill thought the system is. The SSC residents will undoubtedly accuse Somaliland of being a tribe politics that seeks to eradicate another Somali tribe.

The SSC issue is standing and it is not easily fading away. It is legitimate and they have genuine concerns. Sool, Sanaag and Cayn were all part of what is formerly known Somaliland. These three region inhabitants are loudly rejecting Somaliland agenda and their search of an international recognition. Awdal region residents are known to be against Somaliland withdrawal from the rest of Somalia. Prof. Samater is from Awdal region of Somaliland and he is a victim of his view on Somaliland. Ask anyone from Somaliland his/her feelings towards Samatar and what will happen if he tempts to set foot in Somaliland.

Somaliland officials vitiate anyone who is seen to opposing their goal like Samar. Their vitality is spent on searching recognition whilst ignoring an outcry from back home. People with genuine concern and issues are ignored and overlooked.

Can somebody give me an answer on this prevailing attitude amongst the faqash?
I've been curious for a while.

What is with the obession of belittling land and people.
We say we are Northerners, they insist we are Northwesterner's.
We say Somaliland should exist. They come with "leave out Harti areas".
If we offered to give up "their" areas, I'm sure they'd come up with leave Awdal aswell
as if we are occupying them!! And don't get me started on them Insisting they own ALL of Sanaag and Sool

These people will only be happy if we are confined to a "triangle".
The other day I was surprised to hear voltage talking about the Hawd,
insisting there were no Isaaq degaans.
Someone on this forum was suggesting, we should leave Sool Sanaag Cayn Awdal and even Gabiley
yes Gabiley, as they're not "our land"

I mean the nerve!!!!!

I should leave this forum, before I go to jail for attempting to murder a random faqash

 You see this is very clear..

They will not rest untill we no more..
when james dahl posted the maps and was talking about border delineation of Sool and Sanaag and allowing those in those provinces to vote in a referendrum.

I raised the point that as a somalilander we do not really hold the colonial borders sacred and that we have no problem in principle with the dhulbahante and warsengeli degaans seceding from somaliland, provided that this comes as part of a bialteral agreement on Somalilands independance.

There was silence, no one addressed this...

Voltage and other continued to talk about the triangle ignoring that we live in Sanaag and Sool and the cayn they keep talking about..

This proves that they do not like this idea as well, the support for SSC group is simply an attempt to curtail somalilands progress..
They will not reason with us, and they will not accept something as logical as acceptance of clan borders..

the end game is destruction of somaliland.

Saaxib i will tell you the truth. the occupying regime in northern Somalia is not democratic and never was. All i have to do to prove that is go there with a somali blue flag and preach unity. I guess it will be minutes before i get arrested. Secondly Sool and sanaag i have family there. And there are alot of people that do want to still be in Somalia, rather then somaliland. Therefore stop daydreaming and realise that no recognition is there for you, only humiliation and appeasment for you habashi masters in addis abeba.

I sometimes daydream about putting a huge electric fence around isaq cities and cordone them off from the rest of somalis, so they either join Ethiopia or self-implode in their clan fiefdoms. Would be nice to give them a real taste of their mentality, just them alone with no other somali clan joining in their Isolation.

They don't have the courage to accept such isolation and would want to have other somali clans join them in their treachery. I wouldn't mind punishining them collectively with complete isolation just to show them that in the eyes of somalis, they are nothing but a clan that somalis can do without.

Every southerner true to his blood thinks the same way i do btw.
