The district commissioner of Mogadishu's Dharkenley, Moallim Abdulle Hilowle said that the security of Somali interim government on Wednesday started search operations in the district.
Mr. Hilowle said the operations are aimed at assuring the security in the capital, and the Dharkenley district in particular.
He stated that they had seized un-specified number of suspects and were taken into custody for further investigations.
In the last few days, insecurity has been rampant in the district. On Tuesday, bullet riddled bodies of two teens were discovered.
But, the district commissioner said that he didn't know the incident.

Re: Somalia: Security Operations Kicks Off in Parts of Mogad
Today it was the most hectic day in Xamar, the whole city apart from al shabab area was being stripped and searched for weapons. Atleast 20 soldiers were put in prison and many weapons confiscated. The interior and defence minister have been adamant to end illegal weapons to be carried in the streets by both the public and troops/police. I think the operation is going good, however a soldier was killed during the process for refusing to obey orders. Inshallah the operation will continue with success
