Well bro if I was a novice that would be normal question to ask me, but I am not. I know the time difference, I know the times the radios update at the earliest moment and the latest moment. I also know the times Somali news sites update and the latest. Now I live here in the West Coast of the United States. Only Alaska and Hawaii are behind me so this means by now I wouldn't care about reading or listening to news updates if I wanted to, why because the last updates have already been written for the day and the earliest will be written when I am probably going to sleep meaning Farmaajo has not resigned the past day and if he did the last broadcast to speak in Somali, the VOA 8 time(which was two hours prior for me) would have said something and the earliest broadcast the BBC at 4 will be giving an update exactly 2 and 15 minutes from now but that is their 6 in the morning time. Would any developments occur before 6 on any matter? Probably some regurgitation of world stuff or a different spin to yesterday's news. All in all when XimanJaale, or TFG officianado, says nothing happened and we will be surprised tomorrow he is right in both 1.) nothing happened and 2.) tomorrow will be when we hear anything. Capisce?

Your misunderstanding is that is the norm.I think I said if I wanted to which would mean if Barre Hiiraale is on the move, there is fighting in Gedo, Caabudwaaq, or Kismaayo and of course an issue such as this. Other than that I can count the number of times I have listened to Somali radio or read a Somali news site this past year. But of course such situations have risen with veracity in the past 5 years so naturally I noticed the pattern to diverge the most amount of info in the most appropriate of times, staving off updating at inappropriate moments as you highlighted in your opening piece.
