Quran effect on your mind/body
Listening to Quran recitation gives me goosebumps and watery eyes! Sometimes I have to turn off the radio or block the source in order to function properly. I heard some people tremble involuntarily.

Re: Quran effect on your mind/body
Listening to Qur'an puts me in a calm state of mind.
I'm not gonna lie though,I would probably shut everything else off(including my phone) before turning Quran on waayo I get easily distracted.

It does put chills down my spine sometimes when I listen to it. However, it soothes me and makes me want to forget about aduunka.

Do you understand the Quran recitation in Arabic? Understanding it will make you appreciate it even more.
Such a miracle indeed.

Quran is not limited to just understanding the language. When people go to orchestras they don't understand music, but it still has a strong effect and even moves them to tears. Qur'an is our opera, orchestra, symphony, church sermon, and much more all in one. Believing totally it is from God, and the Word of God.Newhargeisagirl wrote:Waryaa,

There was actually a study that was done where someone was exposed to different traditionally relaxing audio stimuli (like classical music, percussion beats, instrumentals, etc.) as well as the Quran, and their body consistently registered the highest levels of physical relaxation when listening to the Quran...so it's more than just a mental thing.

One need not to understand the Arabic language to get emotionally moved by the Quran. I remember my ayeeyo, Allah yerxamha, never understood a word of Arabic and she shed tears each time !uran was played or recited in her presence. But wallahi, to understand the Arabic language, the Quran takes on a whole new meaning...one of the miracles of the Quran is that to understand it perfectly and deeply, you need to have great comprehension of the Arabic language.

Yes I met a non-Muslim businessman who said he listens to the Quran every night before going to bed cos it calms and eases all his worries for the day. He apparently has many different recitations and has his favourite. Walle I felt shame cos I don’t listen to everyday.
