Somali Islamists maintain aid ban and deny famine
Somalia's al-Shabab Islamists have denied lifting their ban on Western aid agencies and say UN reports of famine are "sheer propaganda".
The UN on Wednesday said that parts of Somalia were suffering a famine after the worst drought in 60 years.
A spokesman for al-Shabab, which has ties to al-Qaeda and controls much of the country, accused aid groups of being political.
Most Western aid agencies quit Somalia in 2009 after al-Shabab threats.

Its like USC did, USC aid ban killed more than 500000 people in Somalia in 1992.

Great news. The fake report of last week made me almost doubt that shabaab are not barbaric animals after all.
Now that doubt is gone, they are indeed heartless cruel animals.

This is probably the dumbest comment ever to come out of you Advo. My mom spoke to her brother in Garbahareey and he said the drought has devastated the agricultural areas of Somalia and every single hour the fleeing are passing Garbahareey towards the border into the refugee camps and other places the UN/AID agencies are working. He said the level of despair on such a large scale is unprecedented in his memory even throughout the civil war.Advo wrote:They may have a point though.
There is no doubt about what is happening in the country. Al Shabaab has chosen kibir and indha adeeg that a "famine" is happening now under their watch then admit the truth. Why would they allow the world to come in at first when the attention was low but now the whole world is hearing about the level of "famine" they take back their permission? They are playing politics over lives and knowing their kind of thinking, they are probably saying not letting the "gaalo" win the propaganda war is greater than "sacrificing" dadkaan to ilaahay.
Doqonkii Hutulaclac as always...to him it is also political. Ku lahaa "good news" just because Al Shabaab is shown to be heartless vagrants once again. The people who are being denied help doesn't even register in his shrimp-size brain.

You have nothing to live for except jerk off in your mom's basement and search for Nigerian women online. The women and children suffering in Somalia don't have that luxury. I hope you and the other bastards that are enjoying the innocent people's suffering relive their pain. There is no excuse for what you and others say about the affected people.Advo wrote:They may have a point though.

These are extreme circumstances and it further paints that Al-Shabab must never be allowed to rule.

The UN has a political agenda in Somalia . There is no doubt about this. But if Alshabab has no way of feeding those people then they should let those who can in.
