we dont need to judge what omar bin khadaab did about not praying inside church if that was right or wrong is not up to us to judge. only allah can make xukum not us.

Would you consider the Companions of the Prophet and the Prophet Muhammad himself to be "Radicals" or "Moderates", if there are such things?

Well, he didn't had a Masjid to pray in. It was the first time the Muslims took over Jerusalem during the reign of Caliph Omar. The highest Christian Priest asked Omar to pray inside the Church when it was the prayer time and Omar refused and said, no, I can't because if I do, the future generations of the Muslims would think it's okay and they will pray inside your churches.

sahaaba even some of them use to drink alhokol while been muslims before quran verse stay away alkohol verse was sent down , thats how they where extrem modarate.you can see that they where really moderate muslims.

So, the Companions were Drinking Alcohol and that made them "Moderate Muslim", however you said that was "Before the Verse banning Alcohol came down".

So, after the verse came down and Alcohol was banned, were the Companions still "Moderate" or "Radicalized" by the verse in the Quran banning Alcohol?

Knightof wisdom, Umar didn't pray there because he feared the Muslims would turn the Church into a mosque and Muslims are supposed to let the Christians and Jews worship in their existing churches andsynagogues.
