Post by XimanJaale »

Beesha Sade lives in all 6 districts of Libaan zone, 4 districts we share with degodia and garre which are Dooloow (odo), Filtu, Uudat iyo Mooyaale. 2 districts are Sade only which are Deka iyo Mubaarak. (Deka is the newest district in Libaan zone).
Gobolka Liibaan oo horay u lahaa 4 degmo oo kala ah: Dooloow, Filtu, Uudat iyo Mooyaale ayaa waxaa hadda lagu daray laba degmo oo cusub oo kala ah: Degmada Deka oo ay leedahay beesha Sade iyo Degmada Mubaarak, sidaas ayaana hadda gobolka Liibaan waxuu ku leeyahay 6 Degmo.

Ugu horeyntii, Addis waxaan ka ambabaxay goor galabnimo ah, waxaana ku safrany baabuur aniga iyo nin la yiraahdo Aden Deerow oo safarka igu wehliyay, halka aan u soconeyna waxay aheyd degmooyinka Nageyle iyo Deka, ayada oo aan habeynkiina sii saaxanay magaalada Shashamane oo ku talaal bartamaha dalka Itoobiya ee gobolka Oromia.
Magaalada Nageyle waxaan tagnay fiidnimadii maalintii danbe, ayada oo waqtiga ku baxay in aan isaga socdaalno Addis iyo Nageyle uu ahaa maalin iyo bar.

Kaddib markii aan magaalada Nageyle tagay, waxaa si diiran iigu soo dhaweeyay dad aan magac ahaan is maqli jirnay iyo kuwo aanan waligeen is maqal, balse ay naga dhaxeyso wada dhalasho iyo xiriir dhow oo qaraabo-nimo.
Dadkii halkaas sida diiran iigu soo dhaweeyay waxaa ka mid ahaa: Ugaaska beesha Sade ee dalka Itoobiya Ugaas Cabdi Ugaas Daahir Sh. Xuseen, mudane Dhaqane Cabdi Nuur oo ah siyaasi weyn oo ruug cadaa ah oo si weyn looga yaqaan Soomaaliya iyo Itoobiya, Guddoomiyaha degmada cusub ee Deka mudane Dabow Cabdi Muumin, Faarax Jooraa, Sh. Yuusuf, Xareed Yarow Cusmaan, Aadan Deerow iyo rag kale oo badan oo aanan halkaan magacooda lagu soo koobi karin.

Message from Beesha Sade of Liibaan zone to their fellow Sade:
Waxgaradkii beesha Sade ee aan kula kulmay degmooyinka Nageyle iyo Deka ayaa waxay iisoo dhiibeen fariin muhiim ah oo ay yiraahdeen “maadaama deegaanada faraha badan ee uu ka kooban yahay Ismaamulka dhulka Soomaalida Itoobiya ay beesha Sade ku leedahay oo kaliya degmada cusub ee dhawaan la siiyay oo ah “Deka”, ayna u baahan tahay in ay dadkeeda hormariyaan sida ay degmooyinka kale ee faraha badan ee Ismaamulka dadkii lahaa ay u hormariyeen ama u maal gashadeen in ay beesha Sade u hor mariso una maal gashato degmada cusub ee Deka.”
Waxaa kale oo ay yiraahdeen waxgaradkaas ka tirsan beesha Sade, waxyaabaha ugu muhiimsan ee aan u baahan nahay in ay qurbajoogta beesha Sade naga garab qabato ayaa waxaa ka mid ah: In ay ka qeyb qaataan dayactirka Iskuulada aad masawiradooda halkaan ku arki kartaan, dayactirka halkii ceel ee degmada laheyd oo asna jaban iyo dhisidda xafiisyadii maamulka degmada.

Second in importance are different Somali clans. The Gerri, Degodia and Marehan clans are the
important ones.
The Gerri Somali who occupy the area south and south‐east of Borana, in Liban Zone of
Somali region, Ethiopia. They also reside on the other side of the Kenya border and maintain all species
of livestock, especially camels and goats, in their herds and flocks. The camel breed kept by Gerri is the
horka type known for its beef and meat. The Degodia Somali are found in the border area in the Liban
Zone of Ethiopia Somali region. They keep the best camel breed, horka type and cattle in southeastern
rangelands of Ethiopia. The Marehan, found to the east of the Degodia reside along the
Somalia/Ethiopia border in the rangelands around the Genale River. The Marehan depend on
pastoralism and are known for breeding an excellent Borana species of cattle.
The Ethiopia and Kenya trading is dominated by Somalis. (Marehan, Degodiye, Garre). (Note: NOT Somalia border with Ethiopia or Kenya)
Along the Ethio‐Kenyan border the Oromos (the Boran) and the Somalis (Gerri, Degodia
and to some extent Marehan), dominate the cross‐border trade

From Wardheer to Nageele to Kismaayo, Sade is the most spread out clan by far.

Other clans will have shakhsiyaad in different regions but We have actual considerable populations in all those places.

Not only in Liibaan Zone, but also in Afdheer zone Marehan, along with Degoodiye, are the two principal Somali clans

So basically in the Somali State of Ethiopia, Marehan are one of the principal groups in Wardheer region even today (Celi-Bicidyahan war), are one of the principal Somali groups in Qoroxeey region (bordering Caabudwaaq), in Gode region (bordering Balanbale), are one of the principal Somali groups in Afdheer region (along with Degoodiye) and are the principal Somali group in Liibaan region where they hold the Somali ministerships in the Somali State autonomous government.
Voltage wrote:The Marehan live in Western Galgaduud to inside Ethiopia, they are the majority of Kismaayo, live predominant in the second or third largest region in Somalia (Gedo), are a strong minority in Lower Jubba and the second largest group in the Middle Jubba, as well are into the borders of Kenya and southeastern Ethiopia up to Nagayle and Mooyaale.

Even so I think the reason Marehan is not synonmous with such broad presence in Somali State Ethiopia is because the Marehan mostly live in the border districts and also do not themselves identity with Ethiopia but Somalia proper. Both of my parent's families are from Wardheer and both were born there but I have never seen both attempt to identity with it. Marehan are always looking east towards Mogadishu

Voltage,

There is also a problem with being this spread out in that development wise You have to have a certain confined area Beesha dhan invests in. You cannot expect Reer Xassan alone to build dekah, Calidheere alone to build B Xaawo, Reer Garaad alone to build Ceelcadde and so on. Unfortunately most Marexaan diaspora are only going to identify with their juffo's tuulo so we have to have towns that all Marexaans see as theirs. Caabudwaaq is becoming one of them but we need more.

Something is not adding up here, the article that voltage quoted is refering to a district, liban is a zone :? So i went and checked it for my self, what voltage quoted is dealing with the filtu district which is part of liban. And respectfully so dagodi and marexan make up the bulk of that "district".

Filtu district is one of the 3 districts in Liban zone, situated in the southern part of SNRS. The district is located in the northern part of the zone and is the headquarter of the zonal administration. It borders with Dolow district in the south and southeast, Afder zone in the east and northeast, Oromiya Region in the north and west and Moyale district in the southwest.

The district’s total population is 112,465 people (Ethiopia Population and Housing census, 1997). There are 35 villages (or Kebeles) in the district. See Appendix 9.3 for a list of Villages (Kebeles) in the district listed according to LZ. The population of the district is composed of mainly two Somali sub‐clans – The Dogodia who make up the majority of the district’s population, and the Marehan. Filtu town is about 1,300km southwest of Jijiga and 800km south of Addis Ababa. Conflict is periodic though ongoing with the Borana.

How did we go from a district of liban to waxa meeshan lagu hayo. :?

Delusion....Afdheer is the single largest territory inhabited by Cawliyahan-Ogadeen. :!:
Afder is one of the nine zones of the Somali National Regional State of Ethiopia. The
inhabitants of the Zone are almost entirely ethnic Somali peoples, most of whom are of
the Ogaden clan. Almost all the sub‐clans that live in the Zone, except some riverine
groups practice pastoralism
