Hargeisa(JSLTimes)-The speaker of Somaliland parliament Mr.Abdirahman Mohamed Abdilahi ‘Ciro’ accompanied by politicians, MP’s, religious leaders and members of Society from all walks of life attends a well-organized ceremony of the launching of new political party by the name of Somaliland National Party yesterday.
The new party endorsed by popular figures from all provinces of Somaliland and is spearheading by the veteran diplomat and politician by the name of Ciro.
The official launching ceremony was held in Mansoor hotel and attended by six hundred people representing all societies. The attendees include officials from UDUB and Kulmiye.
The launch of the party is expected to change the general feeling of Somaliland society living in Hargeisa.
The widely known Somaliland singer Mr. Nuur Daalacay sang a song in favor of the Somaliland National Party.
The deputy speaker of Somaliland parliament Mr. Abdiasiis Mohamed Samale made a speech at the official launching ceremony and supported strongly the formation of political parties in the country.
At the ceremony, it was announced that fifteen MP’s defected from UCID and one from UDUB who joined the newly launched party by the name of Somaliland National party.
