I am a little buzzled by this hypothetical scenario and wondered if you identify the friendly clans and the ones who are enemies:

say that Clan A is alligned to Clan C and has always fought Clan B. But if Clan E attacks Clan C then Clan A will join Clan E and Clan B will join Clan C.

If Clan E attacks the Clan C which is alligned with Clan A,then Clan A will join to fight along Clan C and since Clan E is fighting Clan C which friendly to Clan A,we say that Clan B will fight along Clan E to balance the power.both Clan E and C will make peace treaty which will result in Clan A attacking Clan B and clan C helping Clan A to win which will ultimately bring Clan E into Equation and the Fight will continue for infinite numbers of Times just the somalis.

when clan B joins clan C, who used to be alliegned to clan A before clan E attacked clan C and clan A joined clan E. then clan A becomes clan C's enemies, when they were previously allies.

As Addow has said a never ending fights and peace treaty and the switching of alleigences.

Basically the above describes the somali people's endless clan conflict and mindnumbing complexity
