I met a middle aged Somali couple who call each other "macaan" and "macaneey"
in front of people

This guy I met a while back kept calling me gacaliso and I would have laughed out loud if he didn't look so genuine.

I know this Somali couple who use "baby love" when addressing each other.

Baby love just makes me think of the supremes so waa a bit overboard imo.
