OMG, for a city that has suffered 20 years of non-stop conlfict Xamar still looks beautiful and peaceful. People walking freely and the amount of nice cars. One thing I like about Xamar is the wide roads and the beautiful architecture, most buildings/houses seem to be white and grande. The capital has soo much potential. Inshalah the peace will last and people are already coming back to their homes and rebuilding. Soomaaliya Ha Noolaato!!!!!!!

Its the relative peace that people are enjoying thats making it beautiful. Not to mention that Xamar was a planned city, meaning that the grid system is much more organised and much wider than other cities in Somalia. The other thing is the buildings although some decayed and partially destroyed, you can still see the beauty of the Arab/Italian influence architecture of Old Mogadishu. Not to mention the geographical location on the Indian Ocean and having an extremely pleasant weather. Of course if compared to Western countries or even African countries Xamar lacks behind.
