That's strange, what did the guy do to provoke the saudi police, other than the fact that he's Shia? something is certainly left out from this picture.

It seems to me the Saudis want to start a shiat/Suni conflict for their own interest , its all about politics and how to survive

Makka needs to be made an international city run by the noble Qureysh. It needs a status like the Vatican.

Re: Saudi police arrest Canadian imam at Hajj
Apart from the "religious police" being a bunch of ex-con lunatics, dude was leading a prayer in a cemetery, which I believe is illegal. Could be wrong.
Re: Saudi police arrest Canadian imam at Hajj
He was probably asking the dead shiek for help as they were beating him to a pulp
I know this is not a laughting matter walahi but I laughed at the image of him being chased around and getting sat on at the hajj.

Re: Saudi police arrest Canadian imam at Hajj
I dunno what's with FAH lately but he is displaying saudiphobia, maybe its FOX news that got to him.
As for this article I would take it with a pinch of salt, because I don't know the full story. Also it says he was leading a prayer in a cemetry in Madinah. I just so happened to visist this cemetry in Madinah called: Jannatul Baqiyah. It is where the wives of the Prophet SCW are buried alongside his other family (and I think Faatima). When I was there Shicas from Iran and Iraq were praying to them for intercession which is major shirk so the authorities moved them out of there straight away. Also when they went to make salaam on the grave of Rasuulullaah SCW they then threw curses at Abubakr and Cumar bin Khaddabs grave

Re: Saudi police arrest Canadian imam at Hajj
If he was insulting/cursing the two shaykhain/imams, other sahaba and mothers of believers (radiyallah anhum), then his arrest is justified.
But if he was senting salawat on the prophet PBUH by saying Allahuma salli alaa Muhammad wa aali Muhammad, why would they arrest a innocent person? That would be unlawful.
We dont know what is the case.

Re: Saudi police arrest Canadian imam at Hajj
Police beat this man up without provocation? Yeah right, everyone who has spent any time in Makka/Madina knows that shiica who come here are arrogant instigators. Go anytime to jannatul baqiic cemetery and you see with your own eyes rawaafid making shirk openly even though this is forbidden there by the law and there are small incidents with them and security forces/Muslims quite often. Shiica cursing sahaba openly is not very rare either. Once in Hajj-time I saw some big shiica group going around Mina screaming slogans cursing sahaba, not straight by their names, but it's not hard to understand who they meant.
Only two years ago in 2009 there was big fight between Muslims and shiica in Prophet's Mosque in Madina. It started when shiica got their kids to stomp over and dig sand from Aisha's grave and then their adults joined them also and when security forces gathered and confronted them shiica got together and started screaming slogans cursing sahaba and then basically Prophet's Mosque emptied when Muslims ran out and started chasing those animals in the streets of Medina. Everybody joined them from old to young to even Pakistani cleaners. Some shiica also got stabbed and some of them died. Here's video about that incident:

Without knowing the details of this new incident then by default you could say with 99 % certainty that this guy was either 1)making shirk openly or 2)cursing sahaba openly.

There's a big monument and pilgrimage site for shiica in Iran, tomb for the magian mushrik who killed Umar bin al-Khattab RA. They call him Baaba Shujaac. Here's video about his tomb in Iran:

Also many of their culamaa say that Karbala is holier and better than Makka, like this invented hadiith of theirs says:
It was narrated on authority of Muhammad bin Jaffar Al-Razaz, on behalf on Muhammad Bin Hassan…..(very long chain of narrators) from abi abdillah (as)…The Land of Mecca said: “Who is like me and Allah had made His House on my Back, all men come to me from every deep and distant (wide) mountain highway? And I have been made Sacred (or Holy) and peaceful land So Allah revealed to her saying Stop that and stay (like that), the Sacredness which I gave to you compared to the land of karbala is dip in Ocean. And if it was not for Karbala I would have never made you sacred. And if it was not karbala I would have never created you, and even that which you are showing arrogance with. So Stay quite, and humble yourself (in front of karbala) in humility…(insult continues)…(then)…and if you (Mecca) don’t do that then I shall destroy you and throw you in Hell Fire. [Wasail ash shia, volume 5]
Why can't they just leave Makka and Madina alone and stick to Karbala and Najaf?

Re: Saudi police arrest Canadian imam at Hajj
abaahood wasooyinka I swear I would kill them if I saw them doing that

Re: Saudi police arrest Canadian imam at Hajj
I'm surprised that FAH is showing so much discontent towards Saudi Arabia which is America's biggest Arab ally, getting a bit confused about politics are you FAH?
Re: Saudi police arrest Canadian imam at Hajj
Salahuddin why don't you make it simple and advocate for an entire ban on anyone whose practice isn't in line? That will solve it right
