Yeah like that ^ would ever happenWestLdnShawty wrote:Not really..Beenaale_No1 wrote:Djibouti is practically home soil. It's like England playing their home games in Cardiff, Wales. It's not literally home, but it practically is.
Its like Republic of Ireland playing their home game in Belfast..*minus all the politics*
If there was a civil war in Republic of Ireland, Im sure they wouldn't mind playing their home games in Northern Ireland - it's the best they can get. It's not exactly home, but it almost is. If there was an on-going conflict in England, then they would play in Cardiff as well.Cumar-Labasuul wrote:Yeah like that ^ would ever happenWestLdnShawty wrote:Not really..Beenaale_No1 wrote:Djibouti is practically home soil. If Somalia played in Hargeisa ka waran?Cumar-Labasuul wrote:waar no they wouldn't not in a million years, it is called 'Home' game for a reason and last I remember only below Galguduud is in a civil war. Djibouti isn't even a fully somali country so that is idiotic to play a home game there.
how is that any different to what I'm saying: Somalia should play their home games in Somalia -> Bosaso, Garowe, Azania wherever as long as it is in SomaliaBeenaale_No1 wrote:If Somalia played in Hargeisa ka waran?Cumar-Labasuul wrote:waar no they wouldn't not in a million years, it is called 'Home' game for a reason and last I remember only below Galguduud is in a civil war. Why is that embarrassing? Libya played their games in Cairo. Iraq play their games in Jordan. Every African nation who had conflict played their game in the country next door.Cumar-Labasuul wrote:djibouti stadium itself is a small piece of crap given it was built for them. Besides all the garowe stadium needs is to lay some turf. It is more embarassing to play a home game in another country
Focking lali from lala-land try to say something about Djibouti.Cumar-Labasuul wrote:First of all I have to congratulate them on their will to play whilst still in turmoil against all the odds.
However what dissapointed me was that they chose to play their home game on foreign soil (Djibouti)It is obvious to me that they cannot play in Mogadishu but last I knew Somalia wasn't only Mogadishu. They could have played the game in Garowe - where they held the Regional tournament last year. Even all the players and coaches were from Mogadishu, highlighting that Somalia = Mogadishu = one city state. Had they played in Puntland they would at least have had a 'home' crowd. Runtii it is embarrasing for me as a fellow Somali that they chose Djibouti over another city in Somalia.
