Gedo an Ogaden land.
So I heard from elders that Gedo was once a cawliyahan territory, late 1800s. And today interestingly enough, I had an informative discussion with an elder from shololeey Gedo. He tells me that our cousin ilkoyars weren't even inhabitants of the land let alone kismaayo or anything below it. SO the question, where did they come from? shoow wixii cida lagu sheegi jiray waa run?
This story deserves a further investigation. I will keep you all update as I find more info.

Re: Gedo an Ogaden land.
this is true, they were deported there as a punishment by Ugaas Nuur Cubudiye in a famous story in the 1870s. this is a very famous saga. they were deported from shilabo and into gedo and duusa mareeb area, infact ask an elder about this story and how the city dussa mareeb came about.metamorphosis wrote:So I heard from elders that Gedo was once a cawliyahan territory, late 1800s.
