WARPLANES BOMB SOMALI TOWN
Residents in a southern Somali town say planes have bombed bases belonging to al-Qaida-linked al-Shabab militants and at least one person was killed.
Bardhere town elder Abdi Aden says he heard the sound of planes and then explosions on Thursday. He saw one dead man and three wounded ones being transported in a minivan.
Eyewitness Mohamed Hussein says he saw one plane bombing a checkpoint and al-Shabab fighters there firing guns at it.
The agricultural town is 250 miles (400 kilometers) west of the Somali capital and the site of one of three key bridges over the Juba River.
It was unclear who the planes belonged to, but Kenya has launched multiple bombing raids in Somalia since sending troops across the border in mid-October.

The sooner alshabab are gone the safer the civilians will be then. Using the civilians as human shields

Re: Zinji u should worry about this
sounds nice in theory but reality is not that way.greenday wrote:Shirib wrote:my goodness, do u know those planes, kill a lot more civilians than they do Al Shabaab?greenday wrote:Worry what is there to worry about alshabab being bombed is good news

When those airplanes come and bomb a place, the civilians don't say oh they were going for Al Shabaab and my dad was just an accident. They get mad at the people who were bombing them and actually end up falling into the hands of Shabaab. Its only natural that if an airplane bombed ur house and killed ur whole family, u would probably hate the people who did that.
Is it not?
btw, what US foreign policy book have u been reading, cause ur quoting those diplomats these days
Re: Zinji u should worry about this
So the only answer is destroying the whole city, so that Alshabab die and the civilians who could have ended up with Alshabab are also killed.

Shirib, I'd like to see this from another angle, shabab gets bombed and unfortunately if my father was killed i'd be mad at shabab after all it was them that brought the animals that killed my father right? I would think if they were not here my father would still be here, i'd take up a gun and go after shabab. This is possible right?

maybe from your seat in London. But in Somalia, it is highly unlikely that they will think that way.greenday wrote:Shirib, I'd like to see this from another angle, shabab gets bombed and unfortunately if my father was killed i'd be mad at shabab after all it was them that brought the animals that killed my father right? Shabaabs entire structure is we are fighting gaalo, gaalo wanna take over us. Gaalo come bomb you...they prove their point.
and oh your theory might be a little more likely, if Somlaia wasn't in war for 16 years before Al Shabaab ever came into existence.

That is possible... metaphorically.anonymousfaarax wrote:LOL SMH. the probability of that happening is as likely as you shitting flowers...greenday wrote:Shirib, I'd like to see this from another angle, shabab gets bombed and unfortunately if my father was killed i'd be mad at shabab after all it was them that brought the animals that killed my father right?
